A Staffordshire wood-type 'Bacchus & Pan' pearlware jug Bacchus modelled wearing lion skin robe and pan standing at the rear on a barrel, fired with dolphin spout with spongeware type enamel decoration and moulded monkey form handle, raised on a naturalistic foliage base, the exterior side with laurel garland designs, picked out throughout in cobalt blue, ochre and green enamels, height 30cm.
