Toby Jug

Ebay End date - 15.5.19. item No: 333181044263

Description.
A Scottish East Coast Pottery Toby Jug.
Condition:
The actual damage is restricted to the tricorn hat. This has been off at some time and restuck. There is a v shaped replacement section above his left eye and the hat, his necktie and waistcoat have all been repainted black. I thought the brown coat may have been repainted too but on touching it with paint stripper nothing happened so, it is the original, fired finish. So too, are his face and hair; the pink lustre; the blue sponging of the base; the red sponging of his trousers; his stockings and the yellow of the corn sheafs he sits on.
